Capybara Diplomatic Summit Concludes Peacefully
The fourth annual Capybara Diplomatic Summit concluded yesterday afternoon at an undisclosed location, believed to be a slightly muddy bank somewhere east of the river bend. A communiqué, observed by reporters, consisted entirely of a long shared yawn.
Delegates from seventeen capybara family groups arrived between mid-morning and lunchtime. They were joined, as is traditional, by two mallards and a turtle, who participated as observers with full sitting privileges.
The summit's main resolution, conveyed silently through the medium of leaning against one another, appeared to be: yes. Yes to the sun. Yes to the bank. Yes to remaining, for the foreseeable future, exactly where they are. The capybaras now disperse, taking their warmth and their excellent posture with them.
